Our conversation spanned a range of other topics, too, from pandemic safety to the prospects of using sport for building a sense of global citizenship, and it comprises a one-on-one interview and excerpts from a presentation that Prof. Billings recently gave to M.A. students at an Olympic colloquium in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stmarys-ca.edu\/kinesiology\">Department of Kinesiology at Saint Mary&#8217;s College of California<\/a>. We are grateful to Prof. Billings for enlightening us about how the Olympics continues to be not only a juggernaut in television broadcasting, but also a cultural force in our collective conversations about identity.
